WATERTIGHT ORDER HAS FRANCHISE POTENTIAL
Rothenberger has completed delivery of a comprehensive order placed by Watertight Leak Detection for pipe location and leak detection systems, pipe inspection tools and drain cleaning machines.
The order includes a model R600 drain cleaning machine, a Rocam inspection camera, plumber’s toolbox, HL4000 leak detector and FM810 pipe locator.
An array of basic hand tools has also been supplied.
According to Leigh-Ann Ackerman, sales manager at Rothenberger Tools SA, the R150 000 sale is significant because of the likelihood of similar orders being placed by Watertight franchisees.
“We have developed a close relationship with Watertight Leak Detection, and worked hard to deliver an after sales service superior to that of our competitors,” Ackerman said.
“I believe we have an excellent chance of securing future business from Watertight franchises starting up throughout Gauteng and the rest of South Africa.”
Watertight Leak Detection is a water management company specialising in leak detection within the industrial and domestic markets, and offering a blanket service comprising pipe location and inspection, leak detection and leak definition, and repair.
The company undertakes its own general plumbing and repair work, including pipe re-routing when necessary.
The SebaKMT FM810 pipe and cable locator included in Watertight’s order uses a precisely tuned high audio frequency of 83kHz to find the location and depth of water and gas pipes, tracing the line even over couplings and insulating gaskets, and supplying an automatic read-out of pipe depth.
SebaKMT’s Hydrolux HL4000 acoustic leak detector uses digital sound processing technology to identify the sound made by a water leak, accurately identifying its location even when operating against a high-level background of environmental noise.
Rothenberger distributes a range of eight SebaKMT pipe-location and leak detection tools throughout South Africa.
Watertight’s Rocam inspection camera, a Rothenberger product, is a single operator, single-handed system that inserts a movable camera head into the pipe and feeds an image of the pipe interior to the operator’s monitor.
The model R600 drain cleaning machine, also a single-operator system, will be used to power-clean obstructions in pipes up to 150mm in diameter.
Watertight staff received training on the new pipe location and leak detection equipment at Rothenberger’s head office simulation training ground in Meadowdale, Gauteng.
Training on other equipment is being provided on request, as Watertight personnel have wide experience of other tools included in the company’s order. |
